W/R: 46-year-old man allegedly murders wife and commits suicide
It was one of these different search parties that found her lifeless body with a stab to her stomach on the farm. At this point, the whereabouts of her husband was not known, until a search through the farm on Monday morning found Mr. Nyame hanging from a tree.
A 46-year-old man in Obinim Okyena, a suburb in the Shama Municipality is believed to have committed suicide after murdering his 41-year-old wife. They are survived by a 24-year-old son who is a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a 3-year-old child.
Multiple reports suggest that this occurred at about noon on Sunday when the man went to the farm. He has been identified as Kojo Nyame.
The reports further indicate that on arriving at the farm, Mr. Nyame called his wife to bring him food because he was working. It is instructive to note that the said wife had moved out of the house some months ago over a misunderstanding that had transpired between the two.
His wife, now the deceased Aba Akyere sent the food to him but was not seen afterward. Consequently, a search party was mounted to investigate and find her.

Meanwhile, the Police at Beposo have visited the crime scene. The bodies of the deceased persons have since been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Government Hospital for autopsy.
