The Management of the Judicial Service is urging the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) to call off its strike as it meets with the Finance Ministry on May 31, 2023, to resolve issues raised by JUSAG.

JUSGA on Wednesday declared an indefinite strike over government's failure to approve recommendations on salary reviews and other allowances. According to JUSAG, the Judicial Council submitted a proposal in 2021 for approval on salary increments, however, nothing has been done about it.

“Management would like to assure JUSAG that the concerns outlined in the Press Release issued on 24th May 2023 are being addressed and therefore requests the cooperation of the Association in resolving the matter,” the Judicial Service said in a statement dated May 24, 2023.

The statement further said: “To this end, the Management of the Judicial Service is appealing to JUSGA to call off the strike action in order to participate in the above-mentioned engagement. This would ensure a timely resolution of the matter.”
