Two years on: OSP recovers GHS 1M, stops GHS 5M, others

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng has recovered a little over One million Ghana Cedis to the state in over two years of being in Office.
Additionally, the Office has stopped the payment of the Northern Development Authority(NDA) contract sum in excess of GHS 5M and successfully conducted investigations into the issuance of custom advance rulings and markdowns.

Kissi Agyebeng, the Special Prosecutor was sworn into office in August 2021 and has as of today also recruited 249 staff expected to start work in September.
Additionally, the Report states that it has retrofitted its empty ten-story structure, improved citizen engagement, and acquired EU funding for the Cybersecurity lab.
The publication further highlights steps taken by the office in its bid to prevent corruption in the country which includes public education, and also lists the various cases and prosecutions that are pending on its desk.
