Tweapease :Police foils armed robbery, arrests suspects
The suspects, who were in the company of two others, were arrested on September 14 at the Tweapease Police checkpoint
The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects; Adams Kwame and Abubakari Sharif for preparation to commit robbery.
The suspects, who were in the company of two others, were arrested on September 14 at the Tweapease Police checkpoint when they attempted to escape from the Police during a routine stop and search operation.
Some items such as a pump-action gun, two live BB cartridges, two machetes, and a catapult were retrieved from the suspects.
Preliminary investigations by personnel have established that the suspects possessed these items in their quest to commit robbery.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the suspects are currently in custody and will be put before the court while efforts are underway to get the remaining two, who are currently on the run.
