The President, Nana Akufo-Addo will today swear in the three new Supreme Court Justices following their vetting and clearance by Parliament.

The three are Justices Henry Anthony Kwofie, Justice Richard Agyei Frimpong, and Justice Yaw Asare Darko, all formerly at the Court of Appeal.

This brings the current number of Justices at the apex court to fourteen(14) following the retirement of Justices Amegatcher, Kotey, and former CJ, Anin Yeboah.

After the retirement of Dordzie, Honyenuga, and Dotse JJSC last year, the president accordingly replaced them with three(3) others and in line with the constitutional mandate nominated the latest three to also replace the other subsequent retirees.

The president per this appointment still falls within the conventional practice of pegging the number of Supreme Court justices to 15 contrary to the wrongful public assertions.
