Takoradi: Police officer interdicted for allegedly assaulting civilian
“The interdiction is to allow for a thorough investigation into the incident and the professional conduct of the Police officer in line with Police Service Regulations,” a police statement said.
The Ghana Police Service has interdicted a Police officer, № 49187 General Corporal Wise Bessey, stationed at the Takoradi District Police Command, for allegedly assaulting a civilian.
“The interdiction is to allow for a thorough investigation into the incident and the professional conduct of the Police officer in line with Police Service Regulations,” a police statement said.
Details of the incident were however not disclosed, but the statement not added that IGP Dampare has made personal contact with the victim and, "the IGP has assured him of the needed Police assistance and a thorough investigation into the incident.”
