Suspect in Kasoa soldier shooting remanded by court

The suspect, Benlord Ababio, who was arrested in connection with the shooting of a soldier at Millenium City in Kasoa over a land dispute, has been remanded by the Achimota District Court.

Presenting the case before the court, the prosecution noted that while the deceased, Lance Corporal Michael Danso, and others went to make a report of trespass of land at the Millenium City Police Station on April 30, 2024, the accused attacked and fatally shot, leading to the death of the soldier.
He added that the shooting occurred while the deceased and others were seated in a Toyota Rav4 vehicle.
The prosecutor stated that the accused was subsequently disarmed and arrested.
