Co-founder and Managing Partner of Africa Legal Associates(ALA), Nana Adjoa Hackman has charged the 2023 graduating class of the University of Ghana Faculty of Law to strive for excellence in all things they do.

She noted that even though they have graduated with a degree in law, there exist a host of opportunities and options in the world, and thus should take each and every decision to make a meaningful life from them.

Delivering a speech as the guest speaker at the 2023 Congregation held at the University’s Great Hall on Saturday, August 19, 2023, the renowned lawyers also advised the new graduates to maintain a positive mindset in their endeavors.

Additionally, the lawyer who has about 20 years of practice experience recounted how she rehearsed her career journey and how such an experience has brought her to her current level.

Madam Hackman added that upon the discovery of oil by Ghana, she made a strategic move by going into the study of Petroleum Law and becoming one of the foremost Ghanaians in that field.

Moreover, she added that even though she started her career in Banking and Corporate Governance, she recently had to study MBA so as to become a better manager of her Law Firm stressing that in all those moves she has learned, grown, and above all her been able to put her vulnerabilities aside and taken control of the journey.

As such, the Guest Speaker admonished the graduates to build themselves up and not shy away from trying new things and also remain consistent, and keep improving and performing.
