The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) is set to begin the implementation of a mandatory requirement for lawyers to show proof of Continuous Legal Education for solicitor licence renewal.

As such the Association notes that all applications for 2025 Solicitors Licences will consider CLE hours earned by members in 2024.

UPGRADED PORTAL AND NEW TECH FEATURES

A statement signed by the National Secretary, Kwaku Gyau Baffour further reveals that the Association now has an upgraded portal with few changes to format and functionality but urges members to interact with it in much the same way.

Additionally, he notes that the new Portal has backup and redundancies for both technology infreatructure and service providers.

Also, the statement mentions the implementation of a new smart GBA ID card with a chip and an NFC with the capability of containing all information on lawyers.

On access controls at the Association’s events, the GBA has moreover announced the introduction of airport-type access controls to be debuted at their Kumasi Conference.
