Saglemi Housing case: Court sets December 22 for Case management

The five persons were charged on August 5, 2021, for 52 counts for their alleged roles played in the Saglemi Housing project which the state believes have resulted in a financial loss to the sum of about US$200 million.

The High Court(Criminal Division) has today set December 22, 2021, for Case Management Conference for the trial.

The Court presided over by Justice Elfreda Dankyi also directed the state to file its witness statements and full disclosures and serve on accused persons by November 22, 2021, after the AG made a  request to that effect.

Meanwhile, all five accused persons have pleaded not guilty to all the charges preferred against them.

The accused persons are Alhaji Collins Dauda, Kwaku Agyemang Mensah, Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu, Andrew Clocanas and Nouvi Tetteh Angelo are facing a total of fifty-two(52) counts for various offenses.

The first accused person, Alhaji Collins Dauda a former Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing is facing a total of thirteen(13) counts of three charges namely intentionally misapplying Public Property, Willfully causing financial loss to the state, and issuing a false certificate.

Mr.Kwaku Agyemeng Mensah, who is the second accused person is facing twenty-two (22) counts of two charges as follows; Willfully causing financial loss to the state and issuing a false certificate.

Also, Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu, the third accused person is facing twenty-nine counts of willfully causing financial loss to the state and issuing a false certificate.

Andrew Clocanas, the fourth accused person is facing two(2) counts of issuing a false certificate and dishonestly causing loss to public property.

The last accused person in the person of Nouvi Tetteh Angelo is facing four counts of Issuing False Certificates and Dishonestly Causing Loss to Public Property.
