Power FM presenter: Oheneba Bennie completes jail term

Power FM presenter, Oheneba Bennie has been released from the Nsawam Prison where he served a 14-day jail term.

An Accra High Court sentenced Oheneba Boamah Bennie to 14 days in prison custody on February 8, 2022.

Further to the above, the court presided over by Justice Elfreda Dankyi fined the presenter an amount of GHC 3000.

This followed a contempt suit by the Attorney General of the Republic against the presenter last year following an alleged viral video.

In the aftermath of his being declared as President-elect, Bennie per an alleged viral video had indicated that President Akufo Addo had met with eight Justices of the Supreme Court including the CJ, Kwasi Anin Yeboah, and had influenced them thus was cited for contempt by the AG.

In her ruling, the Judge declared the contemnor, Oheneba Boamah Bennie guilty of the charge and duly sentenced him.
