The Ghana Police Service has reacted to a Twitter post made by Ghanaian Dancehall Artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr popularly called Shatta Wale on the death of Fennec Okyere.

The statement dated November 2, notes that “The police have made contact with Shatta Wale who is cooperating with us on the matter.”

Fennec Okyere, former manager of hiplife artist, Kwaw Kesse was found dead in March 2014 at his Manet Gardens residence in Accra.

Years after that, Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, and his supposed manager, Nana Asaiamah Hanson also known as Bulldog after parting ways, are at each other's throats.

In a live video on November 1, 2022, Shatta Wale called the bluff of his former Manager relative to fake stories he claims he had been spreading about him.

Subsequently, Bulldog in a post, revealed hidden international collaborations made by the Dancehall artist which did not go down well with Shatta.

He thus responded in a Tweet in which he wrote; “Bull Dog, since you are bringing out secrets, you will tell Ghanaians what happen to Fenicks (sic) Murder!! And I am not joking about this time!! I am ready to tell the court about what you told me about you and your men and how planned that foolish act, get ready. This Akufo Addo won’t give you a murder (sic) chance to be on our streets!!! Watch how this ends!!! You can’t fight time!!!”

This, however, has gotten to the attention of the Ghana Police Service which is indicating that it has established a Cold Case Unit which is working for months on all unresolved murder cases including the one referred to by Shatta Wale.

It adds that this new development from Shatta Wale is therefore going to complement their ongoing investigation.

The police are meanwhile assuring the General public that they will work relentlessly to bring this case and others to closure.
