Police on manhunt for suspects who snatched car with baby inside

The Police in the Ashanti Region have said they are pursuing two unidentified gunmen who snatched and abandoned a car with a baby inside at Santasi on Sunday Morning.

The incident was put onto social media by someone believed to be the father of the child

Accroding to the police, the suspects on hearing an approaching taxi cab and a police vehicle, abandoned the vehicle and fled into a nearby bush.

“The vehicle has been driven to the Regional Headquarters and the child reunited with the mother. Meanwhile the patrol vehicles are pursuing the suspects and all other opeartional unit have been activated to assit in that regard,” the police said in a statement.

The police have also called on the public to provide information, that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.
