Police hunt for man who slit another’s throat in Suame
Efforts made by the Police to arrest the suspect have so far proven futile, but the body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
Police in the Ashanti Region are currently searching for a man who murdered another on Wednesday evening at the Suame Post Office, a suburb of Kumasi.
It is suspected that the perpetrator of the crime belonged to a gang that smoked weed and held a grudge against the deceased.
However, the identities of both persons are yet to be established.
According to witness reports, “The guy was just passing by. The guy who murdered the deceased called him asking why he failed to greet.”
“The deceased said he would not greet him. After the deceased said that, the suspect pushed him and took a knife from his pocket and sliced his throat.”
The witness account also indicated that prior to the incident, a confrontation had taken place between the two in recent weeks.
