The Ghana Police Service has arrested Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face.

He was picked up for allegedly threatening to kill certain individuals via social media, a statement by the Police released indicated.

In a video that was wildly circulated on social media over the weekend, Funny Face was heard insulting some persons he deemed to have wronged him. He was also heard threatening to kill the mother of his children whom he claimed was extorting money from him through his kids.

The Ghana Police Service tweeted at midnight on Tuesday, October 119, 2021 that the suspect is set to be submitted to “court for an order for psychiatric examination to determine the next line of investigative action”.

Funny Face has in the past threatened to commit suicide.

Consequently, the police has announced that it will not take anything for granted in the interest of public safety.
