A pastor of the Mega Word Chapel International at Enchi in the Aowin Municipality is on the Asankrangwa Police wanted list for alleged theft and arson.

Pastor Kenneth Mensah is said to have set a congregant’s house ablaze while she slept and stole Gh¢40,000 belonging to the victim.

The victim survived and is currently on admission at the Father Thomas Allan Rooney Memorial Catholic Hospital at Asankrangwa.

According to reports, Rosemond Amoafo, informed the pastor of her intent to travel to the UK.

The pastor is said to have convinced the victim into believing that her senior sister, Rebecca Amoafo is a witch.

He later told her that there was a need for a spiritual direction on the money given her by the family.

After collecting the GH¢40,000 from the victim, he allegedly gave her something to drink [something the pastor reportedly said was special holy ghost concoction].

It is also reported that he locked the door and set the house ablaze.

The Asankrangwa Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent, Nana Kumi said the suspect is currently on the run.

He also promised that the Police will leave no stone unturned in their search to bring the suspect to book.

“We have put up his pictures and the name of the church in the public domain and are asking people to help us arrest him,” he said.
