Order police to release my gun-Medikal tells Court
When he appeared in court on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, the “too risky” hitmaker, represented by counsel; prayed the court for an order to the police to release her client’s gun which was in their possession.
Samuel Adu Frimpong, known in Showbiz as Medikal has prayed an Accra Circuit Court where he is standing trial to order the Police to release his gun to him.
When he appeared in court on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, the “too risky” hitmaker, represented by counsel; prayed the court for an order to the police to release her client’s gun which was in their possession.
Also, Counsel made it known to the court that her client has not been served with processes and disclosures to enable him to mount his defense.
On his part, the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey pleaded for an extension of time to enable his outfit to file the processes, disclosures et al and duly serve the same on the accused.
The Judge, His Honour Emmanuel Essandoh told counsel for the accused to submit to the court, a formal application relative to the release of the gun.
He also granted the prosecution’s request for an extension of time.
The popular hiplife artist was arrested after he allegedly brandished a weapon in a video that was widely circulated on social media.
He has meanwhile pleaded not guilty to the charge of displaying arms and ammunition.
The case has meanwhile been adjourned to February 15, 2022.
