Eight out of 12 accused persons who were arrested for their involvement in gang violence that happened at Nima last month have been granted a GH¢80,000 bail each by an Accra Circuit Court.

The bail condition comes with two sureties each. They are also are required to sign a bond of good behaviour, and to report to the Nima Divisional Headquarters of the Ghana Police twice a week.

They are: Abdul Gafaru Maham, Ibrahim Moro alias Jalo, Atarouwa Bassam and Abdul Mumuni Gariba.

The rest are Mohammed Saabi Barinu alias Namer, Bashiru Ganiru and Illiasu Salim Issa Seidu.

The Court presided over by Her Honour, Rosemary Baah Torsu, however, remanded Aziz Suleman alias Rambo, and Farouk Dauda alias Omoni, after a request by the Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Denis Terkpetey Esq.

The Prosecutor argued that the two were directly linked to the charges.

Gang leaders, Ibrahim Hussein, alias Kumordzi and Ali Awudu, alias Bombon are said to be on the run.

The case has been adjourned to February 15, 2022.
