Nigeria: 65% candidates successful at law school final exams, 1,085 called to the bar

The Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Chiroma, SAN, has announced that 1,085 candidates, equivalent to 65.09 percent, were successful in recent law school final exams conducted by the Nigerian Law School. 

Chiroma stated this in Abuja on Wednesday during a presentation of the candidates’ overall performance at the October 2023 Call to Bar event.

A total of 1,666 students participated in the rigorous July examinations, with 1,085 meeting the pass mark. 

Chiroma expressed confidence in the character and preparedness of the successful candidates, asserting that they have met the high standards set by the Nigerian Bar Association. 

Chiroma stated, “I attest that they are fit and proper persons for Call and admission to the Nigerian Bar.”
