NCA Scandal: Former Deputy Nat’l Security Coordinator granted presidential pardon
Following the National Communications Authority(NCA) scandal, Alhaji Osman was sentenced to a five-year jail term in 2020 for willfully causing financial loss to the state
The president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has granted a presidential pardon to the former deputy National Security Coordinator under the John Mahama government, Alhaji Salifu Mimina Osman.
A letter signed by the Secretary to the president, Nana Asante Bediatuo indicates that this pardon was a result of a petition from the Paramount Chief of Kpembe Traditional Area to the presidency for him due to his ill health and good behavior.

The letter from the presidency has meanwhile directed the Director-General of the Prisons Service to ‘take the necessary steps to give effect to the presidential pardon immediately.’
