National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah has sued the convener of #FixTheCountry Movement, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, over allegations that the minister and other government officials tried to bribe him (Vormawor) in order to stop his activism.

Mr. Vormawor, who's also the Executive Director of the Democratic Accountability Lab, organisers of the recent #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, had stated on September 22 that he was offered $1million and juicy government appointments to forfeit his activism - a claim he says is backed by evidence.

However, in the suit that has been filed today, September 26, the Minister maintains that the allegations by Mr. Vormawor are defamatory and is thus seeking GHC10,000,000.00 in damages.

He is also seeking an apology for and retraction of the words complained of as well as “a perpetual injunction restraining the Defendant from repeating similar or other defamatory words against the Plaintiff.”
