Man remanded over destruction of hospital equipment
The accused, Issah Mahama is said to have gotten angry at what he claimed was the lackadaisical attitude of a nurse on duty in attending to his brother.
The Nkawie District Court has remanded into police custody, a 21-year- old plumber, for destroying hospital equipment at the Apatrapa Government Hospital in the Kwadaso Municipality.
The accused, Issah Mahama is said to have gotten angry at what he claimed was the lackadaisical attitude of a nurse on duty in attending to his brother.
Police Detective, Chief Inspector Francis Opoku told the court the accused destroyed a thermometer gun, weighing scale, monitor, hospital bed, two plastic chairs, and other items of the health facility.
He pleaded guilty and will reappear before the court on January 13, 2022.
