Kissi Agyebeng to be vetted as Special Prosecutor today

Mr. Agyebeng was nominated by the Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame on April 16 according to section 13(3) of Act 959.

The Appointments Committee in Parliament will from 10 am today, vet Mr. Kissi Agyebeng for the position of Special Prosecutor.

The vetting is set to be conducted at Parliament’s Committee rooms 1&2, located within the main Administration block, and will be chaired by the Chairman, Hon. Joseph Osei Wusu.

If approved, Mr. Agyebeng will succeed Mr. Martin Amidu who resigned from the Office of Special Prosecutor, citing interferences from the Presidency in his work.
