Kennedy Agyapong files defamation suit against Kevin Taylor and his media company
Kevin Taylor is the founder of Loud Silence Media (LSM) and also hosts a program on LSM via its YouTube Channel, Loud Silence TV, and Facebook Platform, ‘With all due respect – Loud Silence Media.
Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has filed a defamatory suit against Kevin Taylor and Loud Silence Media LLC, at a District Court in the USA.
According to a 15-page document of the case, the suit follows what the MP says are false and defamatory statements in a series of videos and email correspondence published by Kevin Taylor on Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms about him.
“With malice and reckless disregard, Defendants falsely ascribed Plaintiff on several occasions as a criminal. Defendants
falsely stated that Plaintiff is a ‘murderer,’ ‘drug dealer’ and ‘drug addict,’ ‘thief,’ and greencard fraudster. These false and defamatory statements have caused severe harm to Plaintiff’s personal, business, and political reputation,” part of the suit read.
The Member of Parliament is seeking seven (7) reliefs as follows;
1. An injunctive relief prohibiting Kevin Taylor and his media organisation, from posting on any
media outlet any further defamatory remarks, per se or otherwise.
2. An apology from defendants via and through the same channels defendants used to
defame Plaintiff including LSM social media platforms and email correspondence
sent to individuals, including the mayor of Worcester.
3. Compensatory damages, including economic and non-economic damages of at least
$9,500,000.000
4. Punitive damages of $350,000.00
5. Attorneys’ fees, or consideration of such fees in determining punitive damages, costs,
of this action and disbursements, to the extent permitted by law.
6. Pre- and post-judgment interest
7. Such other or further relief as the court deems just
