Justice George Koomson to chair committee probing Ejura killings

The President has instructed that the report be ready for submission in ten days

Interior Minister Mr. Ambrose Dery has announced that Justice George Kingsley Koomson, a Justice of the Court of Appeal will chair the three-member committee established to investigate the Ejura killings.

He revealed this during a visit to Ejura on Thursday, 1st July 2021.

Two other persons have also been named as members of the committee. They are Dr. Vladimir Antwi-Danso, a private security analyst, and Madam Juliet Amoah, the Executive Director of Penplusbytes.

Mr. Dery announced during the visit that In line with the President’s directive, I have set up a three-member ministerial committee to conduct a public inquiry into the unfortunate occurrences on Tuesday, June 29, 2021”.

The Minister also indicated that Marie Louise Simmons, a principal State Attorney will serve as the secretary to the committee.

“These individuals are trusted members of society, and we believe that we will meet the deadline given by the President and come out with the appropriate report and recommendations.”
