An Accra circuit court has granted bail to the leader of the New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi, popularly known as Jesus Ahuofe.

He had been charged with causing fear and panic after prophesying that a musician in Ghana will be shot and killed by robbers. He however pleaded not guilty to the charge.

On the day the predicted shooting was supposed to happen, it was rumored that popular dancehall artist, Shatta Wale had been shot and was in critical condition at the hospital. The singer later quelled the rumor, noting that it was just a hoax.

Shatta Wale has since been arrested and remanded to custody at the Ankaful prison.

The pastor, Stephen Akwasi has however been granted a bail of GHS100,000 and has been ordered to report to the police every Monday and Thursday.
