The Ho High Court presided over by His Lordship Justice Yaw Owoahene-Acheampong, has granted bail to the 21 persons arrested for unlawful assembly aimed at advancing LGBT advocacy in the region.

The suspects had been picked up in May, in a swoop operation by journalists and the police. The police reported that the suspects had been found in possession of materials promoting homosexuality.

Earlier bail applications had been denied by the Ho High Court.

However, information available to Dennislaw News indicates that the application for bail has now been granted in the sum of GHS5,000 for each applicant with one surety each.

The Ho Circuit Court would hear the substantive case on June 16, 2021.
