The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has issued a notice to Oil Marketing Companies (OMC’s) who have defaulted on the payment of taxes, to honour their tax obligations before December 3, 2021.

According to a statement from the GRA, it will publish the names of defaulting OMC’s and their managers if they fail to settle their tax liabilities by the December 3 deadline.

“Sections 58 and 95 of the Revenue Administration Act, 2016 (ACT 915) mandate the Commissioner-General of the GRA to publish the names of tax offenders in the Gazette, on the GRA website and in any other national media.”

In addition defaulting OMC’s will likely face prosecution as well.
