GLC withdraws LLB accreditation for campuses of Presbyterian Uni, Wisconsin Kumasi, another

A notice signed by the Judicial Secretary, Justice Cynthia Pamela Addo (JA), and published in the Daily Graphic indicates that the decision was made pursuant to Section 4 of the Legal Professions Act(Amendment)(No 2) decree, 1967(NLCD 213) Section 1(a)

Is allowance instantly strangers applauded

The General Legal Council has withdrawn its recognition of some Faculties of Law in three campuses located in Kumasi and Sunyani respectively.

They are the Wisconsin International University College, Presbyterian University College, and the Greenfield College.

A notice signed by the Judicial Secretary, Justice Cynthia Pamela Addo (JA), and published in the Daily Graphic indicates that the decision was made pursuant to Section 4 of the Legal Professions Act(Amendment)(No 2) decree, 1967(NLCD 213) Section 1(a) which provides as follows;

“With effect from the first day of January 1971, a person shall not be qualified for enrolment under any provision of the Act unless he is the holder of a degree from a University approved by the General Legal Council.”

The General public is hereby advised accordingly.
