GLC/GSL invites applications from qualified lawyers, judges to fill teaching vacancies at law school

To qualify, the applicant (s) must first be a lawyer with 10 years standing at the Bar. Judges including those retired from the superior courts can also apply.

The Ghana School of Law (GSL) is calling on qualified lawyers to apply for vacancies at its various campuses on a part-time or full-time basis.

In a circular, the General Legal Council (GLC) and GSL said suitable applicants can apply to teach 11 subject areas - Law of Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Law Practice Management, Legal Accountancy, Civil Procedure, Company and Commercial Law Practice, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Family Law and Practice, Advocacy and Legal Ethics, Practical Conveyancing and Drafting, Law of Interpretation of Deeds and Statutes. 

“A person who wants to apply for the position of permanent Lecturer should be able to teach any two of the above-listed subject areas,” it added.

Mode of Application

Interested candidates would have to address their applications, with accompanying documents to the Box address of the Ghana School of Law Registrar or email address (registrar1@gslaw.edu.gh). 

"The application should have the following annexures: 

a. All relevant academic/professional certificates (photocopies) and four passport-sized pictures.

b. Names, Addresses, and Telephone numbers of two References. Both must be lawyers of not less than 10 years standing or Superior Court judges." 

The closing date of the application is February 19, 2024.
