GIS to bar unvaccinated persons from entering its headquarters

In a circular, it said the measure is aimed at checking the spread of Covid-19 among its officers and the general public.

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), says beginning Monday, 24th January 2022, it would not allow unvaccinated persons entry into its headquarters.

The directive also applies to unvaccinated officers of the service.

In a circular, it said the measure is aimed at checking the spread of Covid-19 among its officers and the general public.

"As part of measures aimed at checking the spread of Covid-19 at the Headquarters among Officers and the general public alike, all persons of Eighteen (18) years and above who wish to enter the Headquarters would be required to provide evidence of full vaccination for a Covid-19 vaccine at the Reception," the circular stated.

It added that persons who are vaccinated should have taken the approved full doses.
