The Supreme Court of Ghana on February 28, 2024, dismissed a motion filed by Anas Aremeyaw Anas against a decision of the High Court that sat in a defamation case against Ken Agyepong.

Anas filed the suit in June 2018 on the claims of the tortious offense of libel, allegedly committed against him by the defendant, by reason of which he claimed his name, reputation, and image had been critically damaged.

But a High Court last year dismissed the action saying that Anas is a blackmailer, an extortionist, corrupt, and a criminal.

Anas then went to the Supreme Court, seeking to set aside the High Court judgment. However, the Supreme Court dismissed that action by a 3:2 majority decision.
