The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has secured a court order to seize 95 more vehicles suspected to have been stolen from the United States and Canada.

This comes after the Organised Crime Office, together with a team of FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, earlier in December 2022, retrieved 41 suspected stolen vehicles from garages in Accra.

According to EOCO, information gathered indicated that about 400 luxury vehicles suspected to have been obtained through crime, were shipped from the US and Canada into the country.

In a statement, EOCO said the freezing order would also prevent anyone from disposing of the vehicles.

“The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) had also been notified to be on the lookout for any possible attempt to register or change ownership of any of the vehicles."
