Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the NLC, Justice Anin Yeboah noted that the failure to resolve labor disputes via administrative tribunals remains a great challenge
The Chief Justice. His Lordship Kwasi Anin Yeboah has tasked the National Labour Commission(NLC) to endeavor to engage good lawyers who can pursue their cases in court.
He noted that the failure to resolve labor disputes via administrative tribunals remains a great challenge.
Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the NLC, Justice Anin Yeboah further noted that if the right procedure is taken by tribunals such as that of the NLC, there will be no need for the High Court to re-visit same.
Touching further on the use of the right procedure, he added that if the NLC does the right thing in arriving at its decisions, it would be confident enough to even appeal such decisions at the highest court if they fail in the first instance.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghanaian Times, the Chairman of the NLC, Justice Kwabena Asuman-Adu stressed the need for his outfit to have a constant engagement with the Judiciary since it’s the point of call for dispute settlement.
He revealed that the NLC is considering the training of persons who will serve as recorders to take records of its adjudicative proceedings.
Additionally, the retired High Court judge bemoaned the fact that the NLC committees sit only in three of the sixteen regions due to financial constraints.
