Drifting’ Mercedes Benz driver falls ill, delays prosecution

The 28-year-old driver of a Mercedes Benz who was arrested after driving recklessly at the Airport junction traffic light was unable to appear before court like he was expected, as the Police have reported that he is ill.

The police indicated that the suspect, Kofi Sasa, is currently on admission at a health facility where he is being monitored. Consequently, the court was not able to sit on the case, like was expected.

The video showed that the car revved into the middle of the four-lane road before spinning dangerously in the face of cars lined in traffic and eventually sped off while the traffic light stayed at red.

After turning himself in with some relatives, the suspect was detained until processes for him to be arraigned were completed.

He has since been charged with reckless driving and posing danger to road users.
