Dordzie(JSC), Honyenuga(JSC), 10 others to retire this year

Prominent among them are two Justices of the Supreme Court; Her Ladyship Agnes Dordzie and His Lordship Justice Clemence Honyenuga.

This year, twelve(12) judges in the various hierarchy of the courts are proceeding with retirement after several years of dedicated service to the Judicial Service and the country.

Prominent among them are two Justices of the Supreme Court; Her Ladyship Agnes Dordzie and His Lordship Justice Clemence Honyenuga.

Speaking at the 2022 Conference of the Association of Magistrates and Judges, Ghana in Accra on September 28, its president, Justice Henry Kwofie was elated about new infrastructure including townhouses for Court of Appeal Judges but bemoaned the deplorable state of the Cape Coast Court Complex and the abandoned Wa Complex.

Additionally, Justice Kwofie commented on the delay of the payment of allowances to judges especially the fuel allowance which was only released last week by the Ministry of Finance and yet to hit their accounts.

Court of Appeal

From the court of Appeal, Her Ladyship Justice Irene Charity Larbi and Her Ladyship Justice Merley Wood will retire from their fulfilling service.

High Court

Also, there are included in the list, four(4) High Court Justices; His Lordship Justice Fred Awuah, Her Ladyship Justice Rebecca Sittie, His Lordship Justice Nathaniel Osam and Her Ladyship Justice Cecilia Donchebe.

District Court

Further, this list is not conclusive without the mention of four(4) District Court Judges who are; His Worship Robert Agbleze, His Worship Anthony Tabiri Abebrese, His Worship Korkor Owusu Achaw, and His Worship Seth Alafa
