Chief Justice to inaugurate press corps of Judicial Service today

The press corps is made up of 27 journalists.

The Chief Justice, Justice Anin Yeboah will this morning, officially inaugurate the Judicial Service press corps.

At the same event, he is also set to launch a handbook, ‘Reporting from the Court Handbook’ for Journalists.’ The book is supposed to guide journalists covering the Judiciary and justice system.

The ceremony will take place today, November 15, at the auditorium of the Law Court Complex in Accra.

While Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, a Justice of the Supreme Court, will perform the swearing-in ceremony, Justice Dennis Adjei, a Justice of the Court of Appeal, will brief the Judicial Press Corps on the ‘Reporting from the Court Handbook for Journalists.’

The Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), Yaw Boadu–Ayeboafo and the President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Affail Monney, will also be present.

Just as there is the Presidential Press Corps and Parliamentary Press Corps, the launch of the Judicial Press Corps formally recognizes journalists covering the Judiciary and justice system.

The press corps is made up of 27 journalists.
