The Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin Yeboah is urging the staff of the judicial service to remain calm while their leadership and management engage government on the matter of their salaries and allowances.

In a circular, Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah indicated that he invited the leadership of JUSAG to a meeting regarding the payment of 2021 salaries and allowances on October 29th.

“Pursuant to the above the leadership of JUSAG further engaged me on the matter on Monday, 1st November 2021,” he said.

“I wish to use this opportunity to assure all staff of the Judicial Service to remain calm as Management together with the leadership of JUSAG continues to engage the Government to bring finality to the matter, “

JUSAG on the other hand says it is giving the government a week to address its concerns over conditions of service.

It had earlier intended to strike on October 28 2021 but later called it off.

“We are going back to work while the Chief Justice and the leadership of JUSAG engage with government to find a solution to the problem,” the president of the association, Alex Nartey said.

“If after the one week, there is a clear indication the government only hid behind the Chief Justice, we will not be inhibited to exercise the rights that the law has conferred on us.”
