The Kaneshie District Court has issued an arrest warrant for Mohammed Mustapha Ibrahim, a former staff of real estate agency, Castle Gate Estate for alleged fraud.

The court has also ordered the arrest of one Bismark Cudjoe, also an employee of the company, for a similar offence.

Ibrahim and Cudjoe are being sought on charges of defrauding by false pretences.

In a petition to the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Castle Gate Estate alleges that Ibrahim had printed fake receipts books in the name of Castle Gate Estate to defraud unsuspecting clients.

According to the petition, Ibrahim still kept the receipt books, which he issued to clients in the name of Castle Gate Estates.

It said consequently, some clients were demanding a refund of monies they claimed they paid into accounts of Castle Gate Estate. “All attempts to retrieve those receipts books have proved futile,” the petition added.

"Those who went through the wrong channel with their bad experience are writing negative reviews on the operations of the company, which are not a true reflection of our activities,” the petition said further and called for the arrest and prosecution of the suspects.
