C/R: Robbers attack man in broad daylight, steal unspecified amount of money
Residents have indicated that they are scared, especially when such daylight robbery incidences is not particularly associated with the place.
Four unidentified men have robbed a man at gunpoint at the Coronation Street in the Cape Coast Metropolis of the Central Region, shooting him in the leg in the process.
The victim is believed to have gone to withdraw an unspecified amount of money from the GCB Bank Limited when the robbers attacked him.
On reaching a mattress depot, the robbers, numbering four, crossed him on motorbikes and demanded the money he had gone to withdraw.
Traders who spoke to the media indicated that the robbers shot the victim in the leg and proceeded to fire warning shots sporadically as they bolted.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has visited the crime scene to restore calm. The victim has also been sent to the hospital for treatment.
