Bukom Banku, son stabbing case adjourned as complainant writes to withdraw case

Ishmael Neequaye, the man who had initiated a complaint against Ex-Ghanaian professional boxer, Braimah Isaac Kamoko, aka, “Bukom Banku, and his son, Mustapha Kamoko over a stabbing incident has written to the Accra Circuit Court seeking to withdraw the case.

When the case was called, the court drew the attention of the prosecution that the complainant, Mr Ishmael Neequaye, had written a letter seeking to withdraw the case.

Chief Inspector Maxwell Ayim opposed the withdrawal, indicating that he was not aware of the letter, adding that when he (prosecution) invited the complainant to case management conference, he did not honoured the invitation.

The court presided over by Adelaide Abui Keddy, a High Court Judge, sitting with additional responsibility as a Circuit Court Judge, therefore adjourned the case to April 27.

Bukom Banku‘s son, Mustapha Kamoko, who was also facing the charge of causing damage, has been granted GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties. Both have also pleaded not guilty.

At the beginning of the case, the court heard that the com­plainant, Mr Ishmael Neequaye, is a footballer, residing in Bukom, while Bukom Banku and his son, are boxers, and Prosper Quaye, unemployed.
