Bono East Region: Six-person armed robbery gang arrested

A gang of six armed robbers have been arrested in the Bono East Region, a police statement has said.
“The Police, through an intelligence-led operation on July 17, 2022, arrested six suspects who are a part of a gang of robbers terrorizing people in the region,” it said.
One of the suspects, whose name was given as Issa Mohammed is said to have been identified by a victim the group robbed on July 17, 2022.
“The victim also identified iPhone 11 pro max among the phones retrieved from the gang. The suspects, upon further interrogations, admitted their involvement in a series of both residential and highway robberies within the region and beyond.”
