Residents of Feyiase in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region have found the executed body of an unidentified male.

The combined efforts of the police and members of the community resulted in the discovery of the head of the body some 20 meters from where the body itself was found.

The Assembly member of the area, Samuel Kwai has said the deceased person is not known in the community. The circumstances of the murder is also presently unknown.

A female resident of the community however recounted that she heard a loud cry nearby. The cry however ceased momentarily, before the body was found by some residents, dumped on a pathway in the area.

Police officers and members of the community subsequently combed the area and found the head of the body alongside a mobile phone and wallet containing cash. The head had suffered multiple machete cuts.

Accra-based JoyNews has reported that residents of the town who are seeing this for the first time are fear-stricken. The area is notable under development, with several uncompleted houses scattered across the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, a white Toyota Vitz car with registration number given as GE 3170 21 has also been retrieved from the site while a crime scene investigation team from the Central Police office has commenced investigations.
