A security guard at the Adansi Rural Bank in Kumasi has been killed by suspected robbers who raided the bank.
The deceased, 37-year-old Alex Opoku Twenefour was on duty the night of the robbery and was discovered lifeless with his hands and legs tied behind him.
The perpetrators are believed to have sacked the bank’s ATM machine and entered the banking hall forcibly. Media reports from Kumasi however indicate that no amount of cash was taken from the bank.
Police have since commenced investigations into the matter and the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
