Ada courts temporarily close over water crisis
The courts will remain closed until November 30.
Circuit and District courts in the Ada area have been temporarily shut down following a general water crisis affecting residents in the area.
In a public notice, Judicial Secretary, Justice Cynthia Pamela Addo explained that the situation was largely due to the spillage of water from the Akosombo Dam which has affected the operations of Circuit and district courts in Ada.
“In view of the foregoing, the Honourable Lady Chief Justice has decided to close the Circuit and District Courts, Ada. The situation will be assessed thereafter for further action,” the statement said.
