844 new lawyers called to the Ghana Bar
Originally, 846 applicants were presented and were supposed to be called as new lawyers however two persons were denied the Call in the course of the program when it was realized that they had violated the Rules of Robing.

844 new lawyers have today been called to the Ghana Bar at an event that took place at the Accra International Conference Centre.
This number represents the highest in the history of the Call in Ghana, having overtaken the 2020 figure of 424.
Originally, 846 applicants were presented and were supposed to be called as new lawyers however two persons were denied the Call in the course of the program when it was realized that they had violated the Rules of Robing.
Last year’s event took place on October 1 at which 278 new lawyers were called to the Ghana Bar.
The 2022 event will be the 59th Anniversary in the history of enrolment on the Roll of Lawyers.
The GLC convenes a formal meeting annually to enroll and call to the Ghana Bar, candidates who have successfully passed their professional law examination organized by the Ghana School of Law after their results have been certified.
The new lawyers by the ceremony, are certified by the GLC to begin their legal profession in the country.
