The Bibiani Circuit Court has remanded six persons into police custody for two weeks, for allegedly vandalizing property belonging to a fire service station at Bibiani in the Western-North Region.

According to reports, some community members became angry at the fire station’s inability to respond to emergency calls.

“The community mobilized themselves because they taught it was a deliberate act on the part of the personnel not to respond to their call,” the Spokesperson of the National Fire Service, Timothy Osafo Affum said.

“Fortunately, all the personnel saw the attack coming, so all of them were able to escape. But they vented their anger on the station.”
