32nd Christof Heyns Moot Court Competition: KNUST to host 61 Law faculties
Last year, the KNUST Faculty of Law Team won the contest in Cairo, Egypt
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) is expected to host the 32nd Christof Heyns African Human Rights Moot Court Competition from September 3 to 9, 2023.
This edition will have sixty-one(61) Law faculties from Seventeen(17) African countries who will battle it out for the ultimate.
The event will have in attendance, the Chancellor of the School, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Vice Chancellor, Prof(Mrs) Rita Akosua Dickson as Guests of Honour while the Former Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo, and a Deputy Commissioner of CHRAJ, Ms Mercy Larbi will give the keynote address.
Last year, the KNUST Faculty of Law Team won the contest in Cairo, Egypt.
Additionally, the KNUST side won the Best Oralist, Second Best Oralist, and Best Memorial awards.
The 32nd Christof Heyns Moot Court Competition will be held in English, French, and Portuguese and the hypothetical case is expected to tackle issues relating to Corruption, Sexual Minority Rights, and Harmful Practices.
