25 Ghanaian nationals to be deported from Germany today

Concerning the risk of Corona infection, Germany will take care that all returnees and accompanying guards will be tested by a doctor before flying, whether there are any symptoms of a possible infection.

25 Ghanaians, said to be illegally living in Germany will be deported today, November 30, 2021, the German Embassy in Accra has said.

“With an international Charter flight, twenty-five (25) Ghanaian nationals, currently living illegally in Germany, will be repatriated to Ghana, arriving on November 30, 2021,” the Embassy said in a note verbale to Ghana’s Foreign Ministry.

“They will be accompanied by members of the German Federal Police and a medical doctor who will not leave the aircraft,” the statement added.

The Embassy says the Ghanaian citizens will be tested for Covid-19 and those without symptoms will be repatriated to Ghana.

“Concerning the risk of Corona infection, Germany will take care that all returnees and accompanying guards will be tested by a doctor before flying, whether there are any symptoms of a possible infection. The results of the examination will be put down in a document and only those persons showing no symptoms will be returned to Ghana.”
