V/R: Police investigate murder of Pastor and wife
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
Police in the Volta Region has commenced investigations into the death of a pastor and his wife at Ayitikope in the Volta Region.
The two were found dead at their private residence on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the farming community, located in the Akatsi South Municipality. They have been identified as Apostle Augustine Gbedemah and Comfort Gbedemah. Mr. Gbedemah was the founder and leader of Harmony with Jesus Ministry International.
The PRO of the Volta Regional Police Command, Prince Dogbatse has revealed that initial investigations show the theft of personal weapons including a pistol and pump action gun as well as an unspecified amount of money from the room of the deceased.
Some members of the church who had tried without success to contact the pastor and his wife visited their home, where they discovered their dead bodies which had already started to decompose.
Meanwhile, Police Inspector Prince Dogbatse has assured the public that the police would remain committed to fighting crime and has subsequently urged for collaboration and support in this regard.
